100bestbuy.com – Online Shopping Fraud Advisory

While browsing through the internet I happened to come across a advertisement from 100bestbuy.com. The advertisement read “get a chance to win Samsung Galaxy S3 only for 599.” I clicked on it and I was on the official webpage of 100bestbuy.com. Interestingly the offer also mentioned that Rs 599 INR will be refunded back to my account and I can make a online purchase with the same amount. That clearly states that Rs.599 were charged for a purpose of entering into the contest where 10 lucky winners would get a chance to win the Samsung Galaxy S3. Accordingly, I bought two coupons and paid the money online through my SBI Debit Card. right after I paid the money I got a call from the employer of 100bestbuy.com. He told me that I have been selected as today’s lucky winner and have won an HCL tablet and a wrist watch.they also told me that around 1000 people have taken part in the contest and I am in the list of TOP 15. Having said that, he asked me to pay a sum of Rs. 9,999 INR to redeem my free HCL tablet and a watch. He also told me that this money also can be used to buy any product from their site.

It was clearly written under the terms and conditions that I can use my money to buy anything worth what I am paying to enter into the contest. I am not able to buy anything from the site without paying separately, which means i cannot even redeem Rs.1198 which I paid for two coupons to enroll in the contest. Moreover, I have been asked to pay a sum of Rs.9,9999 more to enter in the contest. There is so much of problem I am facing right now as I have been asked to pay a big amount of money to be a part of the same contest. while I was talking to the employer I even asked him whether I am in the contest or not and he clearly said ‘No sir you will have to pay Rs.9,999 more to do fight for the top 10.’ I even tried to communicate with them via e-mail but they have not replied me yet and it has already been more than 24 hours since i text them. My phone was on roaming while the employer called me and we were almost on the call for more than 10 minutes. I would like to mention that I have faced a lot of trouble because of this, my father scolded me for getting me into this and i felt humiliated and insulted. I was doing some very important work and I had to attend the call unknowingly and waste my time. I am attaching the copy of e-mail that I sent to 100bestbuy.com and here is the text for the receipt of the amount I paid. “Thank you for using your SBI Debit Card 459XXX8248 for a purchase worth Rs599 on POS 00001661 at TimesOfMoney IN txn# 201405896222.”

I totally rely upon the Consumer Control Panel for the series of events. I would like to get the best suited relief for this. Thank You
