Sony LCD TV Customer Service – Repairs Review

Dear Sir, I had lodged a complaint as my Sony LCD TV 26S400A was not working; at sony authorised service center through complaint number 2156260 dated 27th sep’14 in address below: Fortune Plot No. F4 P 31 Beside Alok Cinema Hall Sector-4 City Center Bokaro Steel City 827004 (Ph No: 90313 03xxx | 06542 232xxx) They had given me a quote of approx Rs. 8468 and sought an advance payment of inr Rs4000 for replacement of the LCD panel. I have already deposited inr 4000 with the them on 1st Oct 2014. Today is 22nd Nov 2014; I am yet to get my product repaired. I have called sony helpline and service centre at least 10 times during last 1 month and when I called Sony Helpline (18001037xxx) today and connected with Bokaro service center they gave me an offer to replace the TV with a 28″ LCD tv at a cost of inr 19400. Such communication is a breach of trust on behalf of Sony. If Sony is unable to repair the TV it has sold just 6 years back, how can it ask the customer to buy a new tv in lieu of the old TV. Please take severe action against sony and service center for not repairing the tv till date. I would request you to direct them to repair/ replace my LCD TV Panel at the cost of inr 8468 as originally quoted by them. Looking forward to your response. Please direct Sony India to replace my Sony LCD panel at a cost of 8468 as originally sought by them. In case they donot have the lcd tv panel, they should replace my lcd tv. I am willing to pay the price of the lcd panel which sony india is claiming to be damaged in my tv. I want sony india to compensate me for the immense suffering it has made me suffer by repeated visits to service centers, multiple phone calls to service center and no response from their team. They should be severely fined for harassing the customer and cheating them.
