My name is Pankaj Chopra resident of C-4/7 Mangla Apartments, patparganj. Delhi – 110092 I want to file a complaint against Aftab Ali aka Gudu Khan Resident of A-85 Joshi Colony patparganj, Delhi – 110092. He is a unregistered Contractor in our locality, we contracted him to build our Balcony but he cheated us and took the complete amount and has not constructed our balcony as promised. We contracted Aftab Ali aka Gudu Khan in the month of November 2013 to build our Flat balcony for which he suggested to will be broken completed and will be reconstructed again and has promised to complete the work within 15 days and asked for 60000 rs for the reconstruction of balcony for which we agreed and asked him to start the work. He demolished the complete balcony and reconstructed the balcony within 15 days and we gave him the complete amount of Rs 60000 in part’s depending on the work done by him as he constructed the balcony and only pending work left was removal of shuttering which was used to give support to the balcony from the below flat’s balcony. Now, when he came with his labour’s to remove shuttering support for our balcony it collapsed resulting in one of his labour got injured & exposing defects in his construction which resulted in balcony collapse and but luckily no one had any serious injuries. Since our balcony collapsed immediately after been reconstructed by Contractor Aftab Ali aka Gudu Khan, he came to us told us that he takes the complete ownership of the balcony reconstruction as he is the contractor and it was solely his mistake to not take proper major’s while he was recasting the balcony which resulted in the collapse of balcony and requested us to not to go to Police as he promised to reconstruct the balcony again and will not take any more money. In response to his promise we requested him to pay our money back i.e. 60000 Rs which we gave him in cash while he was working, he responded that he can’t pay entire money back at the moment and advise to bear some loss by us and some by himself. Therefore he gave us the cheque of Rs 39000 and advised us to get it deposited in the bank in the month of December 15 2013 as he does not have the amount at the moment. On 15th December 2013 we contacted the Contractor for our money but he suggested to give 10 more days for the arrangement of money as he was unable to arrange the money and at that time he again suggested to let him construct our balcony again and he will not charge a single penny from us as it is his responsibility. Therefore we agreed to his proposal as he was going to reconstruct the balcony again, He promised that he will start the work in the month of January 2014 as he is currently busy on one of the sites of his. In the month of January we again contacted him as he promised to start the work but this his tone of voice was different, initially he did took our calls and once he took our calls he demanded for more money for the construction of balcony and was not

I want my complete money back and necessary action should be taken again the culprit so that he won’t cheat anyone again.
