I had booked six tickets with above mentioned travel agency for north east region tour on 30/07/08. My tour date was 22/10/08.I wanted to avail the LTC scheme declared by the Govt. of India for central govt employees.
Above booking was for full tour package including full fare economy air ticket. And booking amount was Rs.12000/-.
Before a week of my planned tour, due to some personal problem I cancelled two tickets and also postponed my tour to 22/12/08. Travel agent told me that I will have to bear cost of Rs.500/- per head as a postponment charges.
Meanwhile govt.policy was changed and dept. of central govt. has issued order on 12th novemeber that instead of full fare economy ticket only cheapest economy fare will be given. But our department has received that order in month of December.I asked the travel agent whether he has booked my ticket. He denied. I requested him to book my cheapest economy fare ticket without any package and considering my same booking amount. But he refused. He is neither ready to return my booking amount nor book my ticket.
Travel agency head office is at Ahmedabad,and he has branch office at Vile-Parle,Mumbai.
Please advise me.
