I would like to make a complain about the pricing system of Air Asia flights. I spoke to the customer care & they informed nothing can be done from their side & I should write to nodal officer. Even after writing to him, there was no response. Here is my complain. When I was searching for Delhi to Guwahati flight for 22nd May, 2015 on AirAsia website (~3:00PM on 21st April, 2015) & price shown to me was INR 3690/-. Within few minutes the price got increased to 4791/-. I assumed that seats are getting filled hence price slab has been increased so I completed the booking for 2 passengers with increased pricing. Once I made my booking at higher prices (Rs 4791/-), the price came down to INR 3690/- again within few minutes. Even after 2-3 hours, the prices were same at INR 3690/- (not only at AirAsia web site but also on travel sites makemytrip, cleartrip etc.). The screenshots of the prices ~5:15PM are attached. When I enquired about this at AirAsia helpline number, I was told that such situation can happen on the website & they can’t do anything about it & I should inform Nodal officer. I wrote a mail to the nodal office (at email id nodalofficer_in@airasia.com)but no response. I don’t think it is a fair practice to increase the price during the booking time & then reduce the price after booking was completed. I understand that last minute prices can again be lower due to less booking etc. but within one hour of booking the prices went back to original value. There was some issue with the website else what is the logic of increasing the price during the booking & decreasing it again after the booking.
This is not fair ticket pricing system & I wasted lot of time in checking with the Air Asia helpline numbers as well as writing to them. I am ok with whatever relief is decided by the Core team for this.
