Air India – cancelled the flight not informed to us

had booked air tickets online for my sister , Her husband and family to travel to mysore by flight by IX208 on the 25th of december 2013 and paid 15,687.80 INR which got debited from my credit card . I got a confirmation mail online confirming the transaction. However we were in for a shock when my sister went to the air port it was mentioned to her that we had cancelled the flight. This was not done online by me or personally. We were told that this happened within 2 hours of my booking the same online. When i checked the call center i was told that this was done by their bombay office. I never went there and i also never got a mail informing me about this. To add fuel to the fire i was also charged with cancellation charges for no fault of mine

Firstly we need to understand how this fraud happened and fix responsibility for this to prevent occurrence of such incidents and a fair compensation needs to be paid so that air India express doesnt resort to such things in future
