Air India – Incorrect information poor response

I booked a ticket from Delhi to Bangalore in Feb 2013 to travel in Sep 2013. Later I called up customer care and requested for a change in date of travel. I was told that I need to pay an amount to change the dates. The amount will be Rs2000/- per ticket i.e. Rs 6000/- for three tickets. To which I agreed. I also confirmed when do I need to pay this amount and then I was told that I can pay that balance till one day before my new date. I agreed to this. But When I went to airport to pay the amount, I was told that the last date to pay is already passed, and my tickets are now cancelled. So I have to book new ticket. Because of cancellation, I had to pay Rs 16000/- to get new tickets. In spite of all the follow-ups and reminders, I am not getting any response from Air India. I have logged a complaint to which they are not providing any update (WB-DBLR230913009)
