Airtel 3G Dongle Connectivity – Performance Review

Let me narrate you the complete incident right from Day One. Its going to be like a story where the caption would be Once upon a time and the story continues … Account No : 1033885725 Airtel No : 9900581xxx Interaction ID : 1478246037 Am an Airtel subscriber from Bangalore and have been using the Mobile services for the past 12-13 years. I have never faced any major issues and still using the same service personally and also recommended the same to my family who are also a part of Airtel. I purchased the Airtel 3G Dongle for Internet and have been facing issues from day 1. This connection is used only for emergency as my Primary source for Internet is from BSNL. I use Airtel only when there is a power outage or while travelling so that i can always be connected with my work and not miss any important mails. I have called Airtel numerous times and every time the service received over is pathetic and frustrating. i. IVR stops in between and we assume the call got disconnected and again need to redial ( This is not the reason for this mail but I am just mentioning it as i want to get rid of Airtel forever and be Happy for ever ) ii. Agents answering the calls only know to say – We are Sorry and We would transfer. iii. Wait time to speak to someone who understands the issue or knows the phone etiquette’s is 18-20 mins iv. The minimum turn around time for a simple issue is 72 hours promised by Airtel which is ideally 2-3 weeks. v. Customers are never contacted before the case closure and All cases gets closed without proper resolution vi. Agent’s disconnect / release the calls when we ask for some details and No one calls back. When we callback and check the previous call log documentation and its entirely false and not related to the actual call. vi. THIS IS MY MAIN ISSUE – I have been facing issues with Network connectivity and called Airtel numerous times and every time a technician visits the place and informs that the signal strength would be boosted and it works for 2 days and again we are back to the same issue. I am not in a position to call Airtel every time i have an issue due to the work schedules and personal commitments. However i still call Airtel during my free time by skipping any personal work as i need to spend an average of 40 – 60 minutes on every call. I called on 13th March’14 about connectivity signal strength issue and the same technician visited my place and informed me that the signal strength is very bad and would request Airtel to either boost the signals or install a New Tower. I was promised a callback within 72 hours and No one called me back …. Finally again i had to use Airtel 3G Dongle and realized the issue is not resolved as there is no signal strength (0%). Again i called back on 3rd April’14 and checked for the previous resolution and was amazed to hear the issue is resoled and the case is Closed. When i checked for the resolution details – I was informed that the case has been close

I have so much of time and money in interacting with Airtel Management and I would like to receive an refund for the past 16 months + a damage charges of Rs.25,000 for the pain, agony and frustration I have been dealing with Airtel Management.
