Airtel – Delay duplicate sim issue rejecting documents

I am holding an Airtel postpaid number 9831818xxx since almost 10 years now. I have shifted to Bangalore and have given the said number to my own brother for use in Kolkata. Currently the Sim got damaged and for a new sim I visited the Airtel store, they asked me for a set of documents. Upon presentation of those documents, they pointed out that they asked for an ID proof but the ID proof should have the address proof also. On providing that again, they said the bearer of the letter must also get his address proof and only ID proof is not enough. Every time they are rejecting whatever document is being placed in front of them and harassing. Even when I wished to close the number as it is not possible to keep tracking the same problem, they said we have to go through the entire grid again.

I wish to get the new sim from Airtel and waiver of 2 months bill when I couldn’t use the sim card
