I have an Airtel Digital TV connection (Customer ID: 3001346977) for the past 3 years. The set top box was not working properly and I complain about it in January, 2013. The set box was replaced with a charge of Rs. 350. The changed setbox has another problem of automatically switching off. The problem was visible from the very first day it has been changed, but I ignored it. Few months later, this problem become very irritating and I complained about it with last month. The customer care was very un-cooperative and they said that why had you not complain earlier and that I was telling lie. They changed the set top box with a charge of Rs. 125. But the settop box changed has another problem of error code 1 (no signal). I complained about it immediately and set box was replaced next day. This Settop box has the same problem of automatically switching off. Another complain, another replacement and this happened till date 21-05-13. The replacement were made if I can quote the dates are: 04-05-13,12-05-13,14-05-13 and today on 21-05-13 as I remember. Registration of complains are very annoying. The customer care often says that the system is not working, call after 1 hour and so on.
I have the option to cut airtel digital tv connection and switch to another provider, but a new connection will cost me a lumpsum of Rs. 2000 and that is what they want, I guess! Please order airtel TV to pay the bills of a new connection and compensate me economically for mental harassment they gave during the last six months.
