Airtel – Not Accepting Adhar cards as identity proof

I recently purchased a Airtel 3G prepaid sim card. Airtel customer care when called told us that it would be activated in 12 hours. However, it has not been activated even after more than 24 hours. Documents are attached with this post. It is high time that Airtel stops fooling customers and organize themselves. If Airtel cannot activate a 3G Sim card within 12 hours of receipt of documents from a customer, why then is Airtel advertising like this? The Airtel 3G mobile number is 7893634314. When contacted today Global Communications, H.No. 8-3-193/5, Vengala Rao Nagar, Hyderabad (PinCode: 500 038) were reluctant to accept Adhar Card as a proof of identity and they were asking for PAN Card and also Voter ID Card or any other address proof. This is shame on Airtel because Adhar Card is issued by Govt. Of India. We are shocked to learn on the eve of India’s Independence Day that Adhar Card is not accepted by Airtel. Shame on Airtel.

I want this sim card to be activated immediately or they should refund me the money and also state why they will not accept Adhar Cards.
