I received a text on my phone regarding a recharge of Rs 14 which would give me LOCAL and STD calls at 40paise/minute. This message was sent to me on my phone. After recharging my phone with the same amount, my LOCAL and STD calls were still being charged at 2paise/second. I inquired about the illegal deduction with Airtel Customer Service on my phone by dialing 121 where I was told that such recharge of Rs 14 is not valid despite the text message which I received. I was told that the offers which I receive on my phone may or may not be valid. Now this is a case of fraud where the customer is under the impression of getting an offer but is deceived by the telecom company after providing the statement that “THE OFFER IS NOT VALID”.

With the problem being rampant, re-occurring and being unresolved, I would claim damages for my inconvenience under the offences of fraud, misrepresentation, misinformation, cheating and breach of trust. I would like to damages of Rs 1,000,000 in total for all the treachery committed for running unlawful business practices.
