When contacted Airtel’s customer care executive to file my complaint, he outrightly refused saying that I had myself subscribed to a service and that I won’t be refunded any money whatsoever. As per TRAI recommendations, if a customer so wants to unsubscribe to a service that he’s unintentionally subscribed to, he/she can ask the service provider to close down the service within 24 hours and also get the full amount refunded charged in lieu of the service.
While approximately 25 Rs that I lost cannot be said to have any significant economic damage, yet certainly these things frustrate you as you have to call up the service provider and even so you don’t get any satisfactory response. You lose your cool and of course, time.
