I traveled to Batagundu from Chennai in a SETC bus, TN-01 7125 on 1st January 2012. The bus started at Koyembedu bus stand at around 7:15 PM. The seat condition was so ugly. Within 10 minutes, most of the passengers were complaing about Bed Bug bites. I could not sleep because of the bug bite throughout the journey which lasted for more than 10 hours. The next day, when I reached home, I spotted so many bed bugs in my shoulder bag. I was forced to throw the bag in the trash bin. It was a horrible experience to me. I was rediculed by my friends and family for travelling through SETC buses.
My humble request to the SETC is to provide due importance to the passengers’ health by providing clean buses to travel. Ensure the pest control by fumigation of all buses.
Hope govt will take immediate actions on this issue.
