I bought two Tickets through Travel Agent for our travel from Leh to New Delhi through GO AIR on 26 July, 2011 for their Flight No.G8-160 for our journey on 17th September, 2011 at a cost of Rs.10431.00 only. I am 61 years old, my wife is 56. All on a sudden on 15.09.2011 in late hours the Airport Manager Mr.Tariq M. Wani of Go Airlines (I) Limited informed through their website that the scheduled flight no.G8-160 of which we had confirmed tickets has been cancelled due to change in “Current Summer Schedule”. We were put to utter mental distress and hardship and had no other alternatives but to buy two tickets of Flight No.IT 3352 of Kingfisher Airlines at a cost of Rs.26214.00. Not only we had to bear additional expenses of Rs.15783.00 as cost of tickets for our journey from Leh to New Delhi but also we had to suffer mental as well as physical distress for such whimsical cancellation of flight by GO AIR authoritities. We do hereby register our complaint against the authorities of Go Airlines (I) Limited and also register our claim for compensation for a sum of Rs.50000.00 only.
