Hello Sir, I would like to bring to your notice the fraudulent activities of “Country Vacations” in the name of providing happy holidays:- Its painful story to explain. I stay in Bangalore and one day I got a call from one lady on 12 th January 2014 saying that ‘sir, you have won a gift as you have purchased some items in Gopalan Mall, Bangalore’. I was surprised to hear, and they also said, ‘sir you need to visit our office and come and collect this gift with your wife(probably a mind game which i knew now). I do not understand completely, but I said okay to visit their office (surprisingly it was Country Vacations Office address). I have visited their office with my wife at Phoenix mall, Bangalore. The executive receives us at office, they have invited, and explained about some country vacations, country club membership plan. I said, I am not interested in any of your country club membership. And at the same time I told that, I do not have money to get any Country Club membership so please give me my free gift and let me go. They keep coming with new new offers with every “NO” just to extract the money somehow. Then they forced to use credit card, if you don’t have cash and we will give you 0% interest facility as we have tie up with many banks and you can repay EMI to bank. When i told them i will not be able to pay Rs 89,999 (not even in EMI’s) because of my financial condition he gave me a offer of Rs 31,000 and told me that they have tie up with HDFC bank and would convert Rs 31,000 into 18 months EMI at 0 % interest. They have tuned the mindset like anything, it was almost 2 hours they have banged on our head saying that, you can visit many places across the globe with family and there will not be any room rent when you are staying in country vacations, atleast this way you can show your wife new places. Club membership is free for lifetime and blah blah blah. Oh my god! I really do not understand how I fall in trap. They have not even given time to think, just keep forcing like anything as well as their was fully rounded-up the table and muted my voice….its really unimaginable moment in life and really afraid to recollect that situation.Slowly they took my attention and told me to swipe my card and told me that don’t worry we are doing an agreement for this amount. And any point of time if you are not comfortable with the services you can call the customer care and request for cancellation and terminate the agreement.I was ok with this. I’ve not utilised any of the country vacation services till now because of their false promises and commitments . Once a fraud,always a fraud. When i called to their customer care for cancellation ,they say it cannot be cancelled but can be transferred and as per their purchase agreement this amount is not refundable. I want my membership to be cancelled for both country vacations and country club. Refund me full payment of Rs 31,000 without further delay.
