Damage of my refrigerator and other issues

I purchased a 185 Lt, Godrej frost-free refrigerator on 7th November
1998 from “Bhandari commercial corporation” Gole Bazar, Kharagpur-721302,
West Bengal. Although this is a single user machine (I live alone in my house),
kept in an electrical fluctuations free atmosphere (this being an IIT campus
where we have an excellent special electric supply), however I have been spending
money for its repairs almost every alternate year since I bought in December 1998.

I paid a huge amount of money for its purchase (Rs. 16600 /- in 1998).
Within two years time, it started showing cooling problem. On conatcting the
shop “Bhandari commercial corporation”, they sent a technician who, instead of
repairing the thermoelectric, removed the fan. On contacting the company again,
they sent another technician who replaced the thermoelectric and fan and informed
about the cheating. However same cooling problem occured again and again (as
obvious from my smart care complaints in 2005 and 2007 and then in 2009).

Presently the refrigerator has stopped working again and is lying in your
Godrej smart care unit, Midnapur, W.B. for last 3-4 weeks. It has been
sent for repairs for the 3rd time in lost six months. Now they are saying
that they can not stop the gas leakage and, being an old machine, it is
beyond repair. However a single user, ten years old fridge kept under
excellent conditions like IIT Kharagpur can not be called old unless it has
been replaced by fake parts.

In March 2009, I had
lodged a complaint on “smartcare website” of Godrej company, about the cooling
problems. After several calls made to Godrej customer-care centre, I was contacted
by Ms. Sohni from KOlkata office. She asked me to contact “LAMAYA Airconditioner”
in Midnapore district of West Bengal. After contacting, these people came to pick
my refrigerator on 20th April 2009. The refrigerator was returned to me
24th July 2009 (after three months) and I was made to pay a huge sum of
Rs. 3230/- for repairing of compressor and gas charging. However the machine
stopped cooling within a week of repair and I had to conatct “Lamaya aircon ”
again. They came and told me that the gas is leaking, took the machine
away again and returned after almost twenty days. However the machine
has again stopped cooling within a week of repair and the leaking gas
problem remains unsolved.

Thanks to extreme inefficiency of the technicians appointed by the
“Smartcare” I have been subjected to extreme discomfort and had to live
my entire summer without a refrigerator. It has been more than three weeks
now that I have sent my fridge for repairs (3rd time within few months).
This is subjecting me to high level of harrassment and money loss. Furthermore
machine is subjected to various damages due to multi-times transportations.
Probably I am also being cheated by the low quality replacement of other
refrigerator parts.

I
I suggest to your company to please immediately rectify my problems
and, return my Rs. 3120/-, give me a sutable compensation. I look forward
for your positive response.
