Delhi Electricity Board – online payment problem

Online payment can be done only before due date . After due date Consumer’s not allowed to make online payments even with penalty. For example if the due date is on Wednesday , than working people log in on Sunday to make payment and find that payment button is disabled and we cannot make online payments. This is harrassment of consumers. Also what we notice is immediately after the due date Electricity officer comes to flats/apartments and threatens to disconnect the power supply and many cases withdraws his threat by accepting some bribes. During working day its old parents, women and family who are in house and they usually end up paying HIM even for few day’s delay in payment . Its well thought game plan to disabled online payment button and harrass honest consumers .

1) We request the Maharastra State Electricity Distribution company to give online payment facility even after due date. (2) Company can charge penalty for payments beyond due dates but should not force consumer to stand in queue to make payments post due date (3) They do not pickup the griveance phone and sometimes when do pick up they tell us come over and discuss , this is unfair . Old parents and working people can not take half day and visit Electricity office. When we drop mail in their help desk we get similar response “Visit our office for help “. Please request them to take online complaint and attend to it and not force consumer to visit their officer for face to face discussion etc. (Kindly note we have selected Delhi electricity board only because site was requesting for a brand but the grievance is towards Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution co ltd )
