I have purchased 3 no Dental chairs from Dental World, Lucknow by my firm named ‘Transcendent Dental Laboratory’, addressed Post Office Chowmuhani, H.G.B. Road, Agartala, West Tripura, Tripura- 799001 vis Invoice no. DW/01/13 dated 26-02-2015 with invoice value of 1,87,731.00. When the manufacturer booked the consignment through the ‘Safexpress’transport (Way Bill Number- 41780267 dated 05/03/2015) they attached Form XXVI, no. TRF26AG10560338996 dated 27/02/2015 in which item described as Hospital instrument appraratus appliance tools taxable at the rate of 5%. Attachment of Form XXVI was written on the consignment copy. But in the Churaibari Check post the transporter submit Form XXV in which item described as ‘Furniture & parts’ taxable at the rate of 14.5% against our consignment to the Sales Tax authority. The transporter told us that we did not attached Form XXVI at the time of booking. We purchased dental chair for Government Supply and we charged at the rate of 5%. But due to transporter irresponsibility we have to paid 9.5% extra tax to the Sales Tax Authority.Moreover we received all three boxes in wet condition due to this all electrical parts of dental chair is damaged.
We want the extra amount of Rs. 26,630.00 with 20% interest per year effective from the billing date from transporter
