I had wanted a pick by channel pack activated on my connection. VC Num 01501854270. I had an HD connection. They refused to let me have that pack activated as they said it was only for SD connections. Then they told me if I dont recharge for 15 days,I can convert my connection to SD. Accordingly, I recharged with an amount of Rs.450/-. They even charged me Rs. 21/- for not recharging for 15 days when, i had not done so on their advise. I then tried to place the request online. Their system had some problem. Hence, i took a screen shot of the channels i wanted and emailed the same to them. I got a call from one Javed Hussain about it and he even sent me an email confirming having received my request for pick by channel pack. Subsequently, I got a call from dishtv asking me if I wanted to subscribe to another more expensive pack. However, they did not activate that pack inspite of repeated calls and emails. I tried placing the request online again. But, i did not get any ID number for the same. I called up many times , the record is there in their IVR and sometimes, the customer care executive would just hang up ,or talk rudely, and thrice, i asked to be connected to the floor manager, he promised to start the pack within 24 hours. Each time, i called, they confirmed having got the request. NOT EVEN ONCE DID THEY SAY THAT YOU HAVE TO SUBMIT ONLINE AND WE HAVE NOT GOT ANY REQUEST FOR CHANGE OF PACK. Each time they would say they will forward the request to the marketing department. Ultimately, I sent a request to the CEO online. I got a call from them and they said since you have used the pack, you will have to recharge first and then, we will activate the pack. This is absolute cheating. I had recharged only because they promised me to change the pack within 48 hours. Now after 2 months, when the validity is over because recharge is not done, they expect me to pay and again cheat me. I have refused to recharge. I have told them, they have to refund my recharge amount of Rs. 450/- and activate my pack or I shall complain against them to the consumer forum.
I need the refund of my recharge amount and the cost of mental harassment for the last 2 months and the cost of new Tata Sky connection as I was fed up with Dishtv’s non cooperative attitude and hence decided to purchase a Tata sky connection.
