The facts of the parcel as explained herein below:- One parcel sent from Ottapalam, Kerala on 11.09.2013 (sent by my parents) vide consignment No. V12637800 for next day delivery through DTDC speed service, for which your franchise has charged Rs.4000/- and clearly tell to the pick-up person that it is eatable items like banana, chips, kaalan (like a pickle homemade) etc. for use in Delhi on the occasion of famous festival of Onam. Pick up boy told them (to my parents) that don’t worry it will reach tomorrow or may be day after tomorrow positively. Ok two or three days not a problem. After three days lapsed we have contacted pick up franchise and DTDC H.O. Bangalore repeatedly but they have not given any response about the parcel except given one e-mail ID of DTDC and told me/us that write an e-mail to this ID. After that I have written so many e-mails in different IDs (How much ID available in your DTDC site). Since not getting any reply from the DTDC side we again given reminder twice to the same IDs. But it is very shameful that no response from your DTDC office and customer care also not responding properly they are put the line on hold always.
On 18.09.2013 I saw in DTDC tracking that showing the status that parcel arrived at Delhi Apex. We also try to approach the Delhi Apex but nobody is attending the calls and we have written an e-mail to Delhi Apex with CC to rest of the IDs. But the same situation is there no reply from them. It is surprise that Delhi Apex and our destination (where the parcel to be delivered) is the difference is only 7 kms i.e. half an hour journey (if I know the exact location or get in touch with DTDC office, I can collect the same from Delhi Apex personally – so damage could be avoided).
It is very surprise that on 24.09.2013 (after lapse of 14 days) a delivery boy reached my home and given the parcel. I told the boy that it is not in usable condition – He told me that I got it today for delivery, if you have any problem you can contact DTDC office, my duty is only delivery. It is very sad to say that I got the parcel in worst condition and coming black water with dirty smell and not in usable condition and I kept the same in bath room becoz I have seen germs in that polythene (snaps of the parcel are enclosed). Please see the snaps and tell me is it acceptable?
In view of this, we are not claiming the damages but but the amount of Rs. 4000/- which we have (my parents) spent have to return us.
