This is regarding consignment number: B03940582 I booked a courier at DTDC Nagappa branch; Rajajinagar; Bangalore. The consignment was booked for Pondicherry and had an expensive mobile phone. At the time of booking, the owner didn’t warn me not to ship the phone with Normal lite service. After charging me for everything including the insurance, I was assured that the courier would reach by Monday as I booked on Saturday as Pondicherry is not far enough from Bangalore. After waiting till Monday, I consignee didn’t receive the courier. I thought it would take some extra time since its Normal service but as Wednesday passed, I became more tensed and asked the owner about the whereabouts of the parcel. After asking for a day’s time, he told me that the parcel has been misplaced. It was like a kind of heart-attack for me because the consignment had an EXPENSIVE phone. I cursed the owner and told him that he might have stolen the phone because it was only him who knew that there’s a phone inside it. He backfired on me and abused me. Finally when I threatened him saying that I ask the cops to investigate on the matter then he asked me that he will file a claim and will try to refund me the best price. I was assured by him and though that at least I will get something…something’s always better than nothing. But it’s now 2 complete months. The consignment was booked on 22/11/13 and its now 24/01/14 and I haven’t anything from him. Whenever I ask him about the status of the claim, he always asks for a week’s time. I really don’t know how many weeks he really wants. He always makes an excuse saying that the claim settling takes time. I just want to know if it’s clear that you’ve lost my parcel then what else are you investigating. I know you aren’t making any efforts to find the lost courier…So why is it taking so much time? Is it the way you people do your business? You misplace the parcel of the customers and then simply say that it has been lost and a claim has been filed and do nothing! Just make the people wait giving them a false ray of hope of providing a refund. I want my money. You’ve already lost my phone and you should give me a refund because it was insured. I paid for the insurance so why am not I getting any insurance claim refund. Its more than 2 months now. Just stop your so-called “investigation” like you’re investigating on a murder case. Give me my money. I need my money!
