eBay – Deduction in refund amount of 25%

Relationship with the Purchaser: Myself Mayank Upadhyay. Purchaser is My Mom and I am writing on behalf of her. This is in regards to product “Winter Jacket Women Woolen Long Jacket FS with Belt for Women’s Camel Color” (Item ID: 171445267016) purchased from Ebay with PaisaPay ID 41593764575 on 15-Jan-16. Case overview: Purchased item on Ebay website-No mention of return policy on listing-Founded product to be heavy and unfit for use-Ebay sidelined from the issue asking to directly deal with seller- We return the product to seller-Seller blackmailed for 75% refund instead of full refund-Stopped receiving call after receiving the product-Reported the case to Ebay-No resolution and they closed the case. Apart from concerns as listed, please consider my further submissions: 1. We lodge complain of its heavy weight with Ebay just after receiving product. Ebay sidelined saying claim doesn’t support your purchase even though my purchase was under paisa pay that guarantee the 100% satisfaction and also under the Ebay guarantee. Where is our fault if weight was not listed on the website, I fail to understand? There are so many customer touch points associated with the product which comes into picture when customer actually receives and try the product. 2. Second, there was no mention of a return policy on listing page; instead seller mentioned that we guarantee you satisfaction for this product. So how can he even ask for 25% cut on receiving the return product from us? If customer buys product and want to return, Ebay gets sidelined and seller ask for 25% cut. Unfortunately, this is a trap, and cheating. My Mom was very worried and seller very well blackmailed that if she want to return the product she will only get 75% refund. She narrated the incident to me after seller stopped receiving her call after he received back the returned product. Seller has no intention to refund our money. 3. Moreover eBay return policy says in case of the case gets escalated there is a time window to refund buyers money in 6 days. Ignoring these timelines, seller started ignoring our calls after he received the item shipped on 30-Jan-2016. We have pure records with us.

My Mom along with our family members suffered from deep mental agony. Ebay cleverly sidelined from the issue asking us to handle the return directly with the seller. When we shipped the product to seller Mr. Sachit Gupta, Email: wwearebay@gmail.com and Phone No: 8437880880. He stopped answering to our calls with no intention of returning our money back, and still we are waiting for our refund of Rs 5245 along with our courier charges of Rs 500.
