Electric Scooter Not Working

R/Sir;
We purchased a Electric Scooter on 3rd June 2011 to present a gift to our nephew on his birthday from we above mentioned dealer. On 4th June 2011 when our nephew tried to operate the scooter it did not work. Immediately we called the dealer and apprised him of the condition of the scooter purchased one day before. Then he sent his servant to collect the scooter from our house in Ludhiana at Bhandhari Street, Civil Lines for his checking. After checking the scooter he told that certain parts of the scooter are not functioning and I shall get them replaced. We insisted, since we have purchased a new scooter from you, you should give us its replacement instead of repairing the scooter purchased just one day before. He refuses to replace the scooter with new one and told us to do what ever you want to do. He is very clever and he intentionally given us defective scooter and refuse to give us bill saying that we do not issue any bill for any item sold by us. We have been suffering and our nephew feel depressed finding his new gift defective.
For the intentional sale of defective scooter to us we claim sum of Rs.10000 from the defaulter shopkeeper which may kindly we considered for early consideration as we have to buy another scooter to oblige our nephew.

Thanking you

Yours faithfully,

Rajeev Khanna
