Dear Sir,
Pls. see tthe e-mail exchanged with ICICI Lombard ( pld. read the e-mail from the end for chronological details).
The ICICI Lombard is violating the norms of Free-look period….Lodging a complaint with them, i was informed that 25% would be cut from the premium paid for cancellation. This is not only unfair but akin to robbery by them in broad day light. They may cut just premium on pro-rata basis plus some admin charges such as expenss towards Stam duty etc.
When requested them to revert the same thing in writting so as to enable me to take up the issue with IRDA ( IRDA has also slept on my compaint and has done nothing as a copy was marked to them) they refused to do so…means they are playing foul game and showing a great deal of dis-honesty…I have got disgusted to note the fact that if this is the attitude now what will happen at the time of need.
They are the robbers, pls. save me and help me get back my hard earned money….I don’t trust this company any more.

1. I wish to know the cancellation charges before giving my nod to you in this regards. As your cc exe. informed me that cancellation charges would be 25% of the premium amt. I must say this is not in line with the cancellation during free loook period…..( you are entitled to deduct only: premium on pro-rata basis, stamp duty and some of the admin charges and nothing over and above this)
2. You lady from cancellation deptt. was supposed to give me an e-mail detaling the charges regarding cancellation. I regret to say that you people are hitting the customer below the belt. Whatever you are telling over phone and doing are two diffrent things, thats why, i requested you to send it through e-mail but your cc executive was reluctant to do so. It is evident by the fact that so far i have not received any e-mail in this regards.
3. The info the lady gave was simply violating the Free-look norm of the Insurance Regulator World Wide….including our own IRDA…Just only flashing the advertisenemt : KHYAL AAPKA will not work…..you people are not concerned with the customer.
4. Policy will remain in force i have beeen informed , i may give you my go-ahead only when i receive something in writting regarding policy cancellation charges from you for the sake of transperancy…..I MUST SAY YOU PEOPLE ARE NOT AT ALL TRANSPERENT IN YOUR WORKING.
HOpe you address the issues raised…

Was it you who gave me a call! I regret to say that you don’t know the manners how to talk to the customers.
You gave me a call and disconnected just in 10 seconds without telling or asking anything. Then i received an SMS from you in this regards. I wanted to discuss with you regarding the refund amount and other details but perhaps you were to take a flight………IS THISD THE WAY!
I again request you to give me a detail in this regards…..before cancellation.

Dear Sir,
Pls. refer to the policy taken as per the captioned details.
Since, the policy premius is extremely high without any substantial benefit, i would like to cancel the policy with immediate effect using the benefit of FREE-LOOK period.
The policy was taken on June 05, 2010 and free-look period is still not over:
1. I/ We request you to re-visit the policy premium and provide some relief in premium
2. I/ We don’t find this policy diffrenet or superior from the other available in the market and is priced exorbitantaly high. Why should i pay bigger premium without any substantial benefit
Kindly do the needful as requested and let me know the outcome at the earliest.
Regards,
