I purchased Sony Xperia SP (white) mobile handset for Rs.24,449/- from flipkart.com (Order ID: OD30706034057) vide Tax Invoice no. DEL20130700073814 dated 07.07.2013. Seller was M/s. WS Retail Services P. Ltd., Bangalore. Handset IMEI no. is 355810051464553. I was also given a freebie – a mobile cover specially made for Xperia. However, when I used that cover, it dented the coating of Aluminium frame at its corners. Afterwards, the coating of Aluminium frame got off from even more places of frame and that exposed inner black material of the frame which disfigured the handset. This was clearly a sign of poor quality. Apparently I was not satisfied with the product, however I did not complain to vendor or Sony but I gave feedback to Sony regarding poor quality of Aluminium frame. But on 11.08.2013, I found that battery charging was not functioning. I was shocked as it was hardly a month since purchase and such nasty problems have already started which shows the incompetency of the product as well as brand itself. When I reported the problem and asked for the refund of my money, they expressed their inability to address my concerns citing their policy and advised me to contact Sony. This was nothing but cheating as they have sold me inferior quality product for a very high price. I am totally disappointed with such a neglecting approach as they did not even try to contact me. It is also noteworthy that I was very careful while using Sony Xperia SP smartphone as I knew that Sony mobile handsets are delicate but even then if the product fails within hardly a month, how can I trust that brand/product again? Now, I would not be demanding too much if I do not want any repair/replacement but full refund of price I paid.

(1) Full refund of price I paid i.e. Rs. 24,449/- (2) Strict action against M/s. Sony India, M/s. WS Retail Services P. Ltd., Bangalore & M/s. flipkart.com for selling such inferior quality and unmarketable product in India and then such an irresponsible after sale service.
