I met with an road accident on my Ford Figo 1.2 Zxi (KA05 MH 6252) Car at 11AM on Saturday 29th Nov 2014. Usually I get my car servicing done with Ford service center (Lathangi Ford – Bangalore). Last Service was on: 01st Oct 2014 at around 18K KM. As per the health checkup details, I have got servicing done and replacement of any damaged parts (due to wear and tear) during the service. Copy of the Details can be get from the service center. Right now the car is completed 20K distance. I started driving/trip at 6:30AM on 29th Nov’14 from Bangalore (my Home) to Kushalnagar (Via NH 17) and on the way at around 11 AM, I was driving around 60+ Kms speed and around 8kms aways from Hunsur city, I had to apply the brakes as I need to slowdown my vehicle due to a slowing down of a vehicle in front of my car. Unfortunately, even though I had applied full break with a proper distance of 35+ Mts, the vehicle did not STOP as expected and my car had to hit the car in front of me. Due to the impact, FIRE got ignited in the bonnet and car got completely damaged.

Right now the car in in Cauvery ford service center – Mysore. Few pics of my car and the car with which we met with accident has been attached. Police Acknowledgement and the place mahajar report are attached. The car has bought me and my family to a deadly situation and hence I suspect that there is a problem in the safety measures that has been taken during the car designing and/or manufacturing: 1) Why the break didn’t work when applied and car didn’t stop as expected? 2) Why the car catch the fire, where as it was not suppose to catch the fire even in worst conditions?
