Goodyear Tyres: Warranty claim not being honoured

I own a GM – Aveo Car.
The company fitted tyres of Goodyear make developed a slight bump in the sidewall of the tyre and i was advised to ask for a checkup and request a warranty claim if applicable.

The warranty claim was awarded on 5th of October for one of the Tyres (Specs: Tubeless Tyre 185/60/R14 NCT5) for a claim of 35% of value of a New Tyre.

However after chasing up the engineers, customer helpline, marketing officials as well as dealers, I have still not been given a replacement tyre.

The reason cited is that ‘no stock is avaiable in Gurgaon’ (I reside in Gurgaon) however if I really want a replacement, I can go to Delhi and it can be arranged.

After spending a sizable amount of money (in visiting Dealers) and time (1 month of following up) in calling up and chasing GY people (all for a claim of apprx. Rs 1000) now I am expected to spend more money in picking up a Tyre from Delhi when GY has a fairly large number of outlets in Gurgaon.

On top of that I am driving my car at risk, since the tyre could potentially burst while driving causing a serious accident.

I consider this a serious neglect and lack of orientation towards customer service.

Please advise on how to proceed.
