Respected sir, 1. with due respect i state that i am a serving junior commissioned officer in Indian navy and is presently deployed at insurgent areas of palk bay in naval operations. 2. on 01 jan 15, i purchased a waterpump make – cri (model- 01 hp, 0.75 kw) from gupta hardware and pipes , mohanlalganj, lucknow which costed rs. 3850/- and with a warranty of 01 year. it was discussed with the vendor that the failure in installation would subject to replacement of pump or amount. however the pump did not worked satisfactorily and was replaced on the other day. the new pump (and mechanic) given by vendor on next day also showed similar faults and did not worked satisfactorily. finally both the pumps were returned at the shop. when i asked about the amount the vendor refused to refund it and blamed me of making his two pumps serviceable. he also insisted me to buy submersible pump from his shop for reimbursement of amount. 3. this was the second incident that i am facing with the same shop regarding worse quality equipment. we, the personnel from defense background are not having enough time to run behind these vendors for such reasons. even he is not giving any printed bills after selling such big equipment thereby hiding his sales tax and giving tremendous losses to government funds. the bill and credit receipt given by seller are enclosed with this letter. 4. in view of foregoing it is requested that, (a) strict action be taken against gupta hardware and pipe for selling low grade materials and equipment. (b) quality checks of equipment and machinery present in the store to be carried out. (c) the vendor may be ordered to produce original sales tax statements of last 10 years. (d) he is to be ordered to give genuine bills for all sales. (e) the amount of pump purchased by me to be immediately reimbursed. yours sincerely, satbir
the vendor should return the amount paid by me at the earliest and should be screwed well so that he must not repeat such activities in future. thanks
