I bought an HP M6-1002TX Laptop last September(07-09-2012). This is not exactly a complaint, I am actually looking for guidance. I have taken it to service center more than six times. The speaker, keyboard and DVD Drive were replaced (The speaker still didn’t stop vibrating). The screen was awaiting replacement. So, since I had so much trouble with this I decided to speak to one of the senior Engineers of HP, Sudha. She reported this issue to a higher authority. I had asked for a complete unit replacement. The person who talked to me was Pratheesh. He told that HP cannot replace the product and they could repair it whenever needed and replace individual parts if needed. He told me to read the TERMS AND CONDITIONS. I told him that I had read it, BUT IT IS NOT FAIR TO SELL A POOR QUALITY PRODUCT AND THEN ASK THE CUSTOMER TO SEEK THE HELP OF SERVICE CENTER EVERYDAY!! He told that it was against their policy to replace the entire unit. What he told me was that even if I faced an issue every second, I must keep contacting the service center. He simply meant that I am suppose to live with a poor product, simply because I agreed to their terms and conditions. I could share the mails we had send to each other.
I definitely need guidance from you on how to avoid such situation in FUTURE. Also let me know which company has least complaints against it. I have destroyed that laptop partially..But HP and I have records of all the issues till now..I have recorded all my phone calls to HP.Do I still have a chance to file a complaint? If yes, I would want HP to provide me a laptop with equal or higher specification which is satisfactory for me and pay a compensation for the trouble they caused me. Thank You.
