I had ordered the ‘Jaipan jumbo roti maker’ from HomeShop18.com (HS18) to my friend residence as a gift from my side on 15 Sep. 2012.(Delivery_status.jpg) It was a blatant disrespect of my reputation and feeling when the ordered and delivered late and that too broken. My friend to whom the broken product was delivered found it wrong hand in hand, and send the delivery back to the same delivery boy of HomeShop18 back to their office. I assured my friend to trust HS18 to give them a chance to compensate for their misdeed. Then it was highly despicable that HS18 used some courier service to resend another broken product. As the delivery service was not their own, therefore the delivery boy said no to take back the product and this time broken product was imposed on us by taking the price of brand new product.
Even after so much anger and anguish, I controlled myself and requested them to pick up the broken product and refund the money without any compensation or complaints in consumer court. But HS18 mistook my generosity as my weakness and asked me to courier the product on my expense. The customer relationship of HS18 was aggravated when it forced me to ask my friend to bear the pain of courier his own gift to get a new one. My requests with HS18 went for about a month when I used to sms, call and mail them on almost daily basis for picking up their product for which I was ready to purchase something new as well for their entrance to that address to pick their product. At last, I gave up and couriered them their product for which they had to refund money. The surprising end they made was that now after getting their product back their is no money that has been refunded.
The relationship with my friend has become bitter only because of this gift from HS18 and we don’t talk anymore. Few days before HS18 has made resend of product without asking and has been discarded by my friend because of bitterness this online site is creating. My contact with HS18 has almost never started from their side. Its me only whose money has stuck along with courier fees and who has spend uncounted hundreds of rupees on mails, calls, SMSes and time on contacting them. The loss I have suffered and indescribable. Now, In compensation, I want them to pay me back at least fifteen thousand rupees (Rs. 15,000) along with my counted money spend.(courier+product cost)
