This is regarding the IPRU Wealth builder II plan which I bought at ICICI bank, Sector-29, Huda Market, Faridabad branch from Mr. Brijesh. I went to the said branch with the intention of opening a locker facility. While placing the request, I was told that in order to open locker, the customer needs to increase his relationship value with the bank by having a good investment done in the bank products. The bank executive (Mr. Brijesh) briefed me the details of the IPRU Wealth builder II plan which required yearly investment of Rs 50,000 for 5 years and the sum assured at the end of 5th year will be Rs. 5,00,000. Taking the bank executive (Mr. Brijesh) into confidence I decided to make the payment of Ist Installment of Rs. 50,000 by arranging the payment in the following manner: 1. Rs. 30,000 paid from ICICI Credit Card (understanding the fact that one of my F.D. worth 32,995 is due on 24th May’14 and from there I will make the payment of Rs. 30,000 to the Credit card (payment due on 26th May’14) 2. Rest of the amount (Rs. 20,000) arranged by myself I have opted for the Investment plan with the intention to open a locker with the esteemed bank trusting my level engagement with ICICI (Bank account opened with ICICI since 2004, 2 F.D.’s worth 57,000 with ICICI, Credit Card with ICICI, Car Insurance- policy no. 3001/88138738/00/000) & have paid the locker rental (Rs. 3,034) for the current year (2014). Currently, I am availing the locker facility. Nowhere, the executive (Mr. Brijesh) informed me that my F.D. worth 32,995 will be linked to the locker account and I will not be able to encash the money till the time I surrender the locker facility. I was made aware only to the fact that all I was required was to invest Rs. 50,000 for the next 5 years in the investment plan (IPRU Wealth Builder II). On 26th May’14, I personally went to the ICICI bank, Sec. 29, Huda Market, Faridabad branch to check the status of the F.D. and was surprised to know that my F.D. worth Rs. 32,995 is linked to locker account and hence, I cannot withdraw the money. Also, the due date to make credit card payment was around I could not make the payment due to financial crunch. Had the F.D. got matured and amount due credited to my account, I would have made the payment on time. Since 24th May’14 till date, I have been following up on the customer care in form of multiple written and verbal communications (SR 321986569/322941752) with the bank to credit the F.D. amount as well as not to charge any interest on the outstanding amount of Rs. 30,000 (SR321735988/326063087) but I have not received the amount as yet. Also, to add to my problems the bank has started charging interest on the outstanding amount. The bank is playing dual games now creating a win win situation for itself. On one hand, it is not paying the F.D. amount back and on the other hand, it is charging interest on credit card outstanding payment. The bank has played fraud with me by selling
1.Reversal of interest and penalty charges levied on credit card payment of Rs. 30,000 2.Urgent credit of the F.D. amount due with Interest calculated till the time bank holds the money 3.Monetary Compensation for the harassment given to me
