I would like to introduce myself as, Rajneesh Roy, an existing member with your bank, with account number: 033301509215. Without any prior notice on December 23rd, 2013 it was discovered that a lien was marked on my salary account for an amount of Rs 4,56,925.00 against an unsettled loan Rs 1.34 thousand Lakh of April 2005 with loan # LPDEL00003674518. I would like to bring to your notice, that an ICICI executive, Sameer Gupta, who had procured the loan had taken an amount of Rs 50,000 against the settlement of the account in 2006. On several occasion I informed the bank of this act, the bank informed me that there were quite a few fraudulent cases that were filed against the executive and he was handed over to police. This led me to an understanding that the account was settled. Kindly note, on many occasions between the period of April 2005 till 2007 I have communicated with several executives of ICICI bank corroborating them of the correct picture of the loan account. Now after all these years , all of a sudden without any written or verbal communication the bank had put a lien on my salaried account and froze my entire funds. I was shocked and called the customer service on December 23rd, 2013. They did not share any information and asked me to visit the ICICI bank, Videocon tower, Jhandewala in person. I visited the branch on December 24th and met an executive named Sachin with ph no: 8527998490. He kept me waiting for several hours and mentioned that he does not have information and that he has sent mails to procure the exact status. I informed Sachin that I am travelling within 48 hours to Europe and the matter is urgent in all respect. He was very casual in his approach and could not share information that could resolve the matter. I implored him at the branch and reminded him of my travel plans out of India, to which he said that you can come back and settle the matter as the bank was closed on 25th December, 2013, on account of Christmas and nothing can be done here. I asked him if I can see the manager, to which he said no manager sits in this branch and that he can be of no help . I was assured that I can come back from my trip and continue the dialogue to find a resolution. Before leaving for Europe I had Rs 3,23,925 and upon my return, I now have Rs. 28 in my account. Please note on 24th December 2013. I was personally available at the ICICI Branch to resolve the matter. Following day 25th December, being public holiday the bank was closed and on 26th December 2013, I travelled out of country. By this time only a lien was put on my account.. In my absence, now, when I have come back from my trip, I see that entire amount of Rs 3,23,925 has been debited from my account without any prior information/notice/message. I fail to understand that when the principal amount of my loan was Rs. 1.34 out of which I paid almost half of it and let alone be the amount collected by the agent on the pretext of
I want the bank to settle the account and release the unauthorized amount. Also, this has resulted in immense agony and many unclear ECH payments which have legal implications. The compensation needs to be given.
