Hello Sir / Madam, I inquired about locker facility in IDBI Bank Whitefield Branch. Also, having their basic account with them. On requesting locker facility, they acknowledge about the availability of lockers, but refused to allocate to me by having FD for 3 years rent. But same time, they were forced me to convert my regular saving account to preferred saving account (which require to have minimum balance of 1,00,000) or register ULIP for 5 lacs for 5 years. I informed them about RBI Guidelines but, they refuse to listen and informed that, this is our branch guidelines and customer need to have one of the following plans / FDs to have locker facility. This facility is for preferred customer only. 1) Convert Regular Saving Account to Preferred Saving account 2) Open a FD of 3-5 lacs for 1 years 3) Buy ULIP plans of 5 lacs for 5 years.
