We were RAC 1,2,3,4 when we boarded the train at CSTM.I was travelling alone with my mother (78 yrs and suffering from lumbar compression with weakness in her lower limbs) and 2 sons aged 9 yrs & 14 yrs. I had requested the TT for a berth in case of any cancellation as my mother was in braces and needs to lay down. Soon we found out that berth no 45 was vacant as the passenger Ms. D.Basu F -29 was absent. But to our dismay the berth was allotted to a 26 or 28 WAITLIST male passenger of age 30-35 against money. Still I patiently asked for a berth but the TT was allocating berths to other passengers on various pretext but not us. I kept my patience till Gondia, 3 of us sitting on 1 berth with 1 bed roll to share. At the Gondia station , I asked the TT- Mr. B.N.SATHPATHY to hand me the complaint book as I wanted to lodge a complaint. He became violent and started abusing me. He kept insisting not to hand me the book but with the intervention of other passengers , he did give me the book so that I could write the complaint which is hereby attached. But his statement in the complaint slip is wrong as the had stated that the seat was VACANT but in actuality it was alloted to a wait list passenger 26 or 28 from nasil road to tatanagar. The other passengers PNR no is 8215902785 who were witness to the trauma and harasment. We had given difference of fare also but only 2 bed rolls were allotted for 4 persons.
Hence I claim Rupees 10 lac as compensation for the whole traumatic journey and the harassemenyt at the hands of the railway employees. Moreover, I also request you to amend rules for RAC PASSENGERS and make sure not to allow waitlist passengers to travel when there are RAC passengers inside the coach. RAC is never cleared as TICKET collectors grease their palms withb waitlist passengers money.
