I bought a new iphone 5 from a authorized apple showroom in 23rd April 2013 in a sealed box for 45000. But when I went in March 2014 for a problem covered under warranty the service centre denied me the warranty saying my phone was activated in February 2013 and the warranty has lapsed and I have to pay 21000 to get my phone fixed. When I complained about this to the Customer care of apple they denied me the warranty despite showing them my purchase invoice. The place from where I bought the phone is also not responding to my complaint which is also the service centre. Later there was an update in apple’s website regarding some phone manufactured before April 2013 had faulty power button mechanism and apple was repairing all phone covered under the scheme. My phone also has a power button problem and is eligible for the replacement scheme as I have verified it in the apple website. But now they are denying me the replacement scheme also saying my phone has got liquid contact damage. Although my phone is working perfectly except for the power button which is actually a faulty mechanism given by the company. Now my problem is the company showroom has sold me a phone which was used 3 months before I have purchased the phone, that too in a sealed box. Which means they are committing forgery with customers and then they are denying me warranty. Also since they have sold me a used phone it means that liquid damage could have been done earlier too.
I have complained to customer care to the highest level and sent the mail too to the top management but it’s been three months they have not responding. It’s a total forgery cheating and negligence of customers complain. And a total loot. Please help me.
