I was supposed to travel from Durg to New Delhi on Bilaspur Delhi Rajdhani on 18th June 2015. I got SMS for the seat number on same day. However the train was cancelled for the station and same was not informed to me. I had to make alternate arrangements which costed me additional expense of 10500/- Rs. When IRCTC had the information of the cancellation of the train, then at the time of sending the message for seat number, they could have sent a message that the train route is diverted so that I could have saved the hassle of alternate travel and boarded the train from originating station rather than my boarding station. This is complete lack of responsibility and I seek compensation for the same.

I am seeking compensation of 10500/- for the flight ticket which I had to book because of lack of responsibility on part of IRCTC / Indian railways. Also I want 2000/- Rs refund in lieu of train cancelled. And for mental harrassment, I want additional 1000 Rs. Total compensation seeked : 13500/- Rs. Supporting document for flight ticket is attached. SMS for seat number confirmation can be shown as and when required.
