I had called up JustDial for some information of Merchant Locations on more than one occassion, and the very first time I called up they insisted on having my mobile number saying that they would send an SMS, with the information that I required. I had made it a point to specify to them that my number was registered on the DND list and so would like to receive any junk calls or messages. I was told that no such thing would happen and they needed the number only for them to send me information.

But within a weeks time I started getting messages from places I had never even heard of, like some clinic in Bandra and Vile Parle, some tutorials in Sion, and what not. When I called up the clinic they informed me that they get the numbers from Just Dial.

When I called up Just Dial to have these stopped they started giving me the jazz about that this was how their business model functioned and it was there online on their terms and conditions page. I lost it, and fired them saying that I did not go online for information, I had made a phone call, and I had specified that I did not want such junk, and at that time nobody told me about their crap business model, which they think is above the law, and neither did any of them tell me about the terms and conditions.

Tell me how many people actually go online to check the terms and conditions page before calling up Just Dial Services.

I guess, action needs to be taken against these people for the unethical way of doing business.
