Legal Action now against Airtel for Deactivating SIM – No Customer Care

Respected representative of legal authorities,

I want to file a serious case against Airtel for cheating with me and delaying the processes of SIM card activation. Please let me know what is the detail procedures for same.

Today morning only, I received a call from Airtel’s Delhi office and I was promised to get SIM card activated today only. Nothing happened throughout the day!

When my wife tried to make a call to 9860887540 from her mobile, we shockingly came to know that somebody else is already using the number.

Following are my broader complaints:

1) Not giving any kind of intimation or notification about original/old SIM card deactivation. Is this the way how a customer should be treated?
2) Creating a phony or bogus webpage to register/escalate a complaint. It keeps asking captcha code repeatedly and does nothing other than than.
3) Not registering or escalating my issue into database and letting me know service request number till this date. Isn’t it a great joke?
4) Issuing an invalid SIM card (by Chennai Nodal office) with promise of its activation within 7 business. Exactly who can assure that?
5) Claiming that Mumbai office have couriered only an activated SIM card to Chennai office to be collected by me.
6) Lying continuously with me about activation of new SIM card. They say that it takes four hours only.
7) Creating a confusion by telling that SIM card cannot be activated from outside state.
8) Assigning my number to other person withing giving me any intimation about same.

I personally assume it an outright conspiracy against me. How and when I would get services restored with number which I was using since last 6 years on continuous basis? This must be an inside job or perhaps a part of vanity number sellout by Maharashtra office.

Particularly, I’m really frustrated from lack of responsiveness from Maharashtra’s Airtel officers (both Nodal and Appellate). What Nodal and especially Appellate officers exactly do is highly questionable when we assume them as higher authorities.

Being a software Engineer by occupation, I’m really trying to figure out that why it should take so much time to activate a prepaid SIM card of an existing customer. Mobile service providers really need to alter their operations altogether?
