LG Television – Picture tube not replaced for over a month

My 29″ LG Flat color TV went off in the month of Sept End. I logged a complaint through the customer care, who sent a technician to my place in 2-3 days. The technician inspected and told me that the Picture tube will have to be replaced. I was quite shocked as my TV was just 3 years old. However, I agreed to his suggestion and he ordered a replacement, which came in on 8th Oct, 2011. The technician fitted the new tube on 8th, which again went off with a screeching noise the next day. On calling the Service center again, they sent the technician who then told that some other part (transformer is to be replaced). It took another 10-15 days. He came back with the new part and still TV did not worked. Then he told me that the new picture tube has also got damaged and will need to be repaired. This was around Diwali time (26-27 Oct, 2011). Since then I am following up with them, but the replacement picture tube has not been fitted. They have promised me that this replacement would not be charged as this was under warranty. I am following up on a daily basis and they are just testing my patience with replies like part has been ordered, there is a shortage of part, part will arrive tomorrow and so on. I request the Consumer Forum to take an urgent notice of this and please take it up with the officials.
