Dear Sir/Ma’am, I have purchased Micromax Magnus A117 phone(IMEI1: 911334850151078 & IMEI2: 911334850355075) from Benz (India) Pvt. Ltd., 7/155, Subhash Nagar, Near Main Market, New Delhi-110027 (Invoice No. SN-3048, TIN : 07430196515) on 03-12- 2013 with MRP Rs. 14,250(excluding interest of installments). It was purchased on installments so the total cost of the phone we bore was 18500( approx.). From the very next week of my purchase I started facing problems in the phone like heating problem, randomly goes ON-OFF, gets restarted when charger is applied, touch problem, some white faded spots inside the screen. I used to get notifications like Battery temperature is out of range, please remove your battery. To avoid any mishap, I used to remove the battery immediately, screen suddenly goes white and I had to remove the battery again and again, display problems like screen flickering. Overall I was facing multiple problems in the phone. Those days I already was facing so many problems like my grandmother was not well and still she is ill, I was doing job which was very hectic, and because of so many problems in this phone,I started getting more and more frustrated and life started becoming difficult. This phone is a gift from my mother. She purchased this phone in installments and she is still paying monthly installments of this phone. I kept loosing my mind with each and every new problems in the phone. I was not able to concentrate anywhere. It’s been a 6-7 months of mental harassment for me to use this phone. The more I ignore the problems with phone more I get frustrated but i ignored going service center just to save time and energy. I knew that if i submitted my phone once, it will start giving even more problems and same happened when recently all the problems with the phone got so critical that I had to go to service center which is Rapid Communication, WZ-1, Opp. Metro Pillar No. – 535, Ganesh Nagar, Tilak Nagar, Delhi – 110018. And when I entered inside the service center, it was all chaos. The environment was so sensitive that I hesitated to enter the service center by seeing so much frustration in consumers. Everybody were shouting over service center staff. When I asked 2-3 persons that what is the matter, they told me that everyone is very disappointing with the quality of Micromax phones and this is the daily scenario over there. Micromax has very less number of service center in Delhi. People were shouting for their phones, some were shouting because they have not got their phones back since long time, some were shouting because their problems did not got resolved even after submitting the phone in the same service center multiple times. There was no AC and all were sweating. Anyhow I managed to reach the counter with my token number. They took my phone and handed over a job sheet. I told them that they haven’t written all problems but they said that everything will be fine. Once I submitted the phone, there were no calls
After facing all these tensions, I am writing to Consumer Court with a hope that I will get my right back. It has been the mentality of such companies that Indian consumers are fools. Being a student, I really can’t afford to face those problems again. I have no trust in Micromax phones now. I, therefore, request you to please do the needful in getting me back the amount of Rs. 18000 (approx.) (it is the total cost of the phone including interest of all installments that my mother has paid and still paying) plus Rs. 20000 for compensation of such a horrible mental torture I have faced and still facing and wasting my crucial time i.e, a sum of Rs. 38000 from Micromax so that this company,Micromax, will either rise the standard of their products which are currently harmful for the society’s peace or stop making such cheap standard products. I also request you to please make a surprise visit at above service center to know the reality of Micromax Company. Following are Job Sheet Numbers of previously submitted phone status: 1) N030684-0514-9483147 2)N030684-0714-10861699 3)N030684-0714-11113024 4)N030684-0814-11653300 The 4th point is the current job sheet number. One of the first three job sheet number may be for earphones complaint but I am not sure . I am attaching the copy of bill, finance documents of installments we are still paying and Job sheet of Micromax service center. I went to Consumer Court Janak Puri and filed a compliant on 25-08-2014 against Micromax, Rapid Communication (Service center) and Benz India Pvt Ltd. My case number is 551/14. They gave me next hearing date of 8-12-2014. I have all the supporting documents. I therefore request you to please help me to reduce the hearing date and do the needful at the earliest.
