Missed Flight – Miscommunication by Indigo Staff

Dear Indigo Team During the process of boarding of my Indigo Flight 6E109 from IGI Airport to Bangalore on 20th June at 6.25 a.m, I forgot my laptop at the security check, I realized I had left it there by the time I was about to board the flight. I informed the ground staff about the same and they said that I’ll be able to make it back on time as it was only 6.00 a.m then. I took the bus back to the departure gate and Informed someone from Indigo, he aptly called someone immediately. That new guy took me to Ms. Roma who completely denied me making it back in time without even making an effort, she completely refused to make an effort. As soon as I reached her(20 mins before boarding), she said “you have missed your flight, give me your boarding pass” in a very rude tone and refused to make an effort. Also, the one who guided Me to Ms. Roma told me you should’t have come back, we would have sent your laptop. Left with no choice I got another Indigo flight 6E121 booked for Bangalore at 9.30 a.m paying an additional Rs. 3100/-. My question is why is there a descrepancy in what the ground staff communicated and what Ms. Roma said. Secondly, has Indigo forgotten how to treat their employees. Also, if my laptop could have been sent later on then why didn’t the ground staff give me that option, why did they send me back. They said “Sir, please collect your laptop and come back”. It is not about additional money that I had to pay, it is about bad treatment by Indigo(Ms. Roma in particular), miscommunication by the Indigo team and the time lost. I have been a loyal Indigo flyer(you can check your records if you want), but because of a pathetic experience like this I will make sure I don’t associate myself with Indigo anymore.
