Sir, I am a MTS data card services consumer with ID no. 8453168329. On 9-8-2013 I received the message over MTS phone that if I undertake online recharge for Rs 29, I am going to get 6 GB usage memory of data card valid for a month. I did the same using my debit card online with Transaction id: 102795729. But when I found that the services are not coming through, I contacted their help line. Then I am given to understand that this package is valid for only weekends!! Thus through misleading marketing strategy they are indulging in cheating the consumers. As I wanted internet services every day, I requested them to convert it to everyday usage package with 2GB memory (which is their normal package). Company is refusing to do so and they are telling it is only a weekend package. When they market the package they tell one thing and indulge in cheating the consumers. When as a consumer I have paid the money and requesting them to change the package to everyday usage package what it is their problem I am not able to understand. Hence I am approaching the Consumers redressal section of your ministry to get the justice done. The amount involved is not a big amount. But why these companies are indulging in cheating consumers with their misleading marketing strategy. This kind of cheating should be stopped and consumer’s rights should be respected. Thank you. I have already paid Rs 295 online. The weekend package should be converted to daily usage package although I am going to loose Rs 50/- Henceforth company should stop giving wrong information to the consumers
