on 27.04.’09i had sent a parcel from hospet containing important items immediately required by my daughter studying in gulbarga through first flight couriers ltd which has not been delivered as of now i.e., even after 7 days. hospet to gulbarga is well connected by ksrtc buses which take 7 to 8 hours of journey.
i chose the multinational courier service for a quick and efficient delivery as these things were urgently needed by my daughter.
the tracking system of the company online shows that the parcel reached their gulbarga office on 29.04.’09. however they have not delivered the same even as of now that is 11:30 am of 04.05.’09 for which the tracking system shows no reason.
there is no one to lift the phone at their bangalore local head office when tried this morning. on 02.05.’09 when i rang up they said that it would be delivered that day but nothing was received as my daughter was waiting.
i think that the courier company is guilty of short service and therefore is liable to pay me compensation for having kept my daughter waiting so long in vain to receive things that are imporatant to her personally. as the parcel also had some edibles, the state of the same might have changed to inedible. the dress that was sent to be worn for a specific occasion does not serve the purpose as the event is over.
kindly advise me how to go about lodging a claim.
