I am N.M.Venkatachalam working as a Senior Electrical engineer with Shell in QSGTL oil field at Qatar. During my vacation to India in January 2013 I got few phone calls from Bagittoday (BIT) for Diamond promotional offer, i.e. pay Rs. 25,000.00 Rs and get 50,000.00 Rs worth of Diamonds and 25,000.00 Rs. Worth of some products. Since this promotion is for diamonds I was not interested at the beginning when BIT staff Miss. Riya called me for more than 6 times on 06th Jan 2013. Subsequently Mr. Ravi Sharma called me from +9112047917500 for more than 20 times for two consequent days and assured me that I could choose any other products worth of 50,000.00 Rs. instead of Diamonds and in addition to that further purchases will be 80% off for all products? I asked for letter of confirmation regarding this change but, he replied me that all the conversations are recorded hence no need to worry about the black and white confirmation letter. Based on his assurance and my trusted experience with BIT I made the payment on 07th Jan 2013. But, they had sent bogus Diamonds and other offer products (which all are not useful and not worth for 25,000.00 Rs.) on 17-Jan-13.

Since I don’t like Diamonds and the delivery was against my wish I wrote a mail and called over phone of BIT customer care and no action has been taken. Then I have decided to sell these Diamonds and tried with several jewellers (Tata Gold, Joy Alukkas, etc…) at Erode all of them said that these 5 Diamonds are 4th quality, all together worth is 5000 Rs. only? and not advisable to wear as a jewels as per Zodiac. I tried at Coimbatore and Chennai with different jewelers and got the exactly same answers. Moreover offer products along with these Diamonds also not useful for me. I had sent many mails to BIT to resolve this issue but, till date no action has been from them. 1. Since all of our conversations are recorded (as per BIT assurance) why nobody of BIT is initiated to review the entire process of this purchase. 2. Since the supplier of these Diamonds is Zia why BIT didn’t ask them about the quality as per their assurance? 3. If the given Diamonds are worth of 50,000.00 Rs why BIT not ready to replace with Toshiba lap top as per their staff promises. The rationale for my purchasing through BIT was by word of mouth from my working colleagues, neighbors and my previous experiences. It is my humble request that you please investigate this issue as I purchased these products under false pretences – a reputable, Indian government approved massive organization such as India Today group’s (BIT) shouldn’t do this type of business without business ethics, also it shouldn’t be repeated for other persons. My one and only request is let Bagittoday take back their Diamonds and send the Toshiba lap top worth of 50,000.00 Rs. As per their commitment.
