I signed an agreement with Opulentus Oversees Careers Pvt. ltd. on September 5th, 2014 for the Federal Skilled Worker program for Canadian immigration. Opulentus did not inform me that this program would be terminated on December 31st, 2014 and be replaced with a new program called Express Entry. Opulentus performed an evaluation to see if I qualified for immigration and told me I was eligible under the Financial Analyst occupation. This is one of the most applied occupation and it reached its cap of 1000 set by Canadian government within 2 months. The application takes 3-4 month to prepare as a candidate has to take IELTS for which appointments are only available three months out. Besides there are several other documents to gather. The contract with Opulentus requires them to provide me with a sheet anchor who would be my case coordinator for preparing the immigration application. No such person was appointed for me. Furthermore I was not informed that I needed to get my educational certificates verified by an independent authority in Canada for its equivalence to Canadian education. Due to the misleading information and lack of support my Canadian immigration application was in serious chances of being jeopardized as the deadline for the federal skilled worker program was December 31, 2014.

I want Rs, 45,000 back that I paid to Opulentus. In addition I was a good sized penalty for the ill advice and fraud in hiding important information about express entry program and about the cap for the occupation I was going to apply for. I would like this penalty to be higher than 10 lac rupees as I faced real danger of my Canadian immigration application not being able to be sent in time for the federal skilled worker program that expired on December 31st, 2014 which could change my career path.
