I purchased your Cooktop Model GL30CT AI, bearing Sl No 0906207839 with Black Glass Top on 15.11.2009 from “Sales Corner (Baroda) Pvt. Ltd.” after a long survey of brands and models. This is a 03 burner cooktop with very elegent looks.
The cooktop was giving perfect service and occupied proud place in the kitchen of our new flat. We used to show it with pride to all our guests and vistors. There was no complaint what so ever in the service of the cooktop till day before yesterday night. My wife was cooking dinner on 10.07.2010 when suddenly an unusual glass breaking sound attracted attention of all and we found that the glass top has coolapsed. There was no physical hitting/ falling of any object/ pan on the glass and the glass collasped just like that. We could understand the failure if some fall/ hitting on the glass had
ocuured. Surprise is that it collasped without any reason known to us.

I understand that these tops are made from toughened glass suitable for taking up the heat and load normal with such cook tops. Failure due to fall or hitting of heavy object should be the only reason of failure of such glasses. If that was the case we would have understood that it is due to our neglegience/ fault. But failure without any external stimulus is beyond my comprehension.
Now there can be only 02 reasons for such failure: –
1. These glass tops are not suitable to take up the heat and load of normal cooking OR
2. There was some hidden defect in this particular glass top which resulted in such failure.
In both the conditions your company ows me explaination and replacement of glass top. If reason of failure is No 1 above then even if you provide me with replacement glass top what is the guarranty that it will not fail again? Therefore if reason of failure is as listed at No 1 above, I will request for replacement of complete cooktop with another cooktop suitable for normal cooking. However if cause of failure is as listed at No 2 above then I request that Faber replace the glass with defectfree glass.
Hope a company of your repute who dares to provide lifetime warranty for some of your products will honour your comittment of providing troublefree kitchen solutions in present case also.
