Closure of data services on data card 7498232959? I stopped using the above mentioned data card since 17 jan 2013, however, few days ago I found out that the account is still active and Reliance is still generating bills. We received multiple calls from them, and every time we have specified the reason for not using the card and asked them to close the account. In Jan 2013, the data card stopped functioning, we called the call center (soon after 16 Jan 2013) and cited our problem. We also requested call center rep to block the card and disconnect the service immediately as we were unable to use it and we did not want to be billed for the same. on 1st feb 2013, we visited service center in andheri w (as directed) to get the card checked. The person at the service center, checked the card and confirmed that the problem cannot be rectified and it would have to replaced with a new card at an extra cost. Inspite of requesting to block the card in jan 2013 before 27th jan 2013 (new bill cycle), the request was not completed. We were informed of this in on 18 feb. We immediately called center once again on 18 feb 2013 and spoke to Rashmita and told her to block the card and close the connection/account as well permanently. We received a confirmation of the same via sms on my mobile. We have paid bill for services used till 16 Jan 2013. (the bill cycle ending on 26 Jan 2013). Beyond this period we have not used the card. However, Reliance is still generating bills to a total of 2120/- till date. Please advice
As per my understanding I am not liable to pay any more amount to them. They have to permanently close the account as requested in Jan 2013 and reverse their charges.
