A serious problem happened to my newly purchased Renault Duster while driving it. The instance was like, when i was driving it at an speed of 45km/hr on a standard road, a balloon bursting type of sound occurs inside the vehicle and when i see on the mirror, the rear glass was broken instantly. I stopped the vehicle instantly and saw that the entire glass was broken into pieces and there wasnt any sharp mark on the glass, as i touched it the glass fell down at no moment and i was unable to picture the glass at that moment although i have clicked some pictures which i am affixing along-with this email. Thinking of such a case with the reputed company, couldn’t be digested easily but it happened and it is a great sorrow for me that i am a part of it, as i have spent such a huge money with such a brand of very low standards as compared to others in the market.This kinda mentality built when i took the vehicle to the Renault service centre, Mandi and they treated me as a third person while dealing with this case. As there was’nt any sharp or heavy object lying near the rear glass and the boot space was also not so full. I have send an email at the customer@renault.com in which photographs were attached for their kind information. What i wanted from them is, replace the same in warranty period as it is clearly a manufacturing fault although i have fixed it through insurance claim. As the vehicle is in warranty period and the problem arises due to a minor manufacturing deffect, the glass must be considered under warranty period.
What i wanted from them is replace the glass under warranty policy of the OEM and compensates my insurance charges that i beared.
