had purchased a Samsung 1 Ton Split AC,model no. AS122UGF on 7th April 2012 which costed me Rs. 22,000 .On March 2013 this year,the AC started malfunctioning(the AC was working but there was no cooling) while it was still under warranty an i had called the customer service to get it repaired.A mechanic then came and and repaired it and charged 1300 as he stated that there was gas leakage which was not covered by the warranty.i got not receipt for the same. After 2 weeks again the same problem started. I called them again in september throught QRS. The place from which i bought my ac. the guy came from the samsung service center and said there is a gas leakage which they need to identify and he said he would come back after 2 days.It became 2 months they did not report despite my repeated calling. Now they say some part has to be changed and are asking me to pay 8000 Rs to get it repaired.How can an AC that is just one year old needs repair worth 8000 rs.that almost 33% of how much i bought the AC for originally and i paid another 1300 initially in march to get it repaired while it was still under warranty. They did not realize this then and now the warranty is over they are courting such high prices !!Now,when i call samsung they only reply in Malayalam and i dont quite understand as i am not very fluentin it.I asked them if there is someone who can speak English and they replied in negative. This is not expected from a big and well reputed company like samsung. We didnt go for other ac which were at half the price thinking samsung is internationally acclaimed. Getting exploited in my own country due to language barrier has caused me immense emotional and mental stress. and they got quote that compressor has 5 years warranty. but they claim this is some other part. but i have been facing the same problem since march and they keep changing the nature of problem.
I want the company to apologize for this behavior and repair the ac as soon as possible or give me back my full refund for the ac and they can have the ac back. an ac which did not last for one year and needs around 10000 to get it repaired , i can buy a new ac at that price !!!
